My name is Éva Barna, and while I am often defined by my roles as a psychologist, Forrest yoga teacher, trauma release bodywork therapist, and life coach, I embody a much richer tapestry of experiences and insights that transcend these labels.
My journey into the healing arts has been shaped not just by formal education, but by the profound lessons gleaned from overcoming my own traumas and working intimately with others on their paths to healing.
Each step of this journey has led me to explore a diverse array of modalities, each contributing a vital piece to the intricate puzzle of my life. Through this exploration, I have discovered a deep yearning to connect with my true self and to live authentically in relation to others and the world around me.
About me
Embodiment: The Gateway to
self-connection
The methods I use in my healing work are a reflection of the diverse paths I’ve traveled to find balance and well-being. Trauma Detox Bodywork is a comprehensive, integrative method that combines various techniques to aid in emotional and physical release.
Drawing from the deep wisdom of Taoist and tantric practices, I integrate body-centered methods designed to help release trauma and buried emotions stored in the body. These are enhanced by specific massage techniques, which work to relax the body, open energy channels, and allow stuck emotions to surface and be processed.
My work is also deeply rooted in breathwork, using the power of breath to move energy, bring awareness, and create inner space for healing. I incorporate sound therapy and active meditation to further awaken and align your body, mind, and spirit. These tools are powerful in guiding you through the inner landscapes where trauma resides.
Forrest Yoga, which I incorporate in my work, is central to grounding and rebalancing the body. This practice helps open the body’s energy centers, fostering stability, strength, and relaxation, while calling our spirit back into alignment.
I also use gentle somatic practices to regulate the nervous system, allowing a compassionate and supportive approach to healing.
Each of these methods is integrated with care to offer a nurturing, safe space for deep transformation, supporting you in your journey to reconnect with yourself and find wholeness.

The Importance of Safety
At the heart of healing lies the fundamental principle of safety—it is the sanctuary where transformation begins. I am committed to creating a nurturing and secure environment where participants can feel free to let go, surrender, and engage in their healing experiences. Feeling safe is essential for embracing your most authentic self, experiencing your rawness, and cultivating self-love, all while connecting with the world as you are meant to. True healing unfolds in a non-judgmental space where individuals can hold space for one another.
I carry within me the memory of seeking help in spaces that felt unsafe—where the expectation of healing morphed into something entirely different. Many who pursue body-centered therapies find themselves vulnerable to retraumatization. I was once among those who desperately sought healing, inadvertently attracting a predator who preyed on my longing for support.
During my initial encounter with bodywork and tantra, I attended a training where the instructor exploited my vulnerability, abusing my trust under the guise of healing. He breached my boundaries, manipulating me and falsifying my gut instincts and using his teachings to justify his harmful actions. In that time, I was naïve, responding from a place of past traumas and unable to reach for help. The environment felt cult-like, ensnaring me in its grasp and making it difficult to escape and find genuine support. Eventually, I summoned the courage to break free and seek authentic healing, and I am profoundly grateful for the progress I have made.
Having navigated the treacherous waters of unsafe healing experiences, I recognize how common they are. For this reason, I approach my work with immense care and sensitivity, ensuring that the space I create is one where genuine healing can flourish—free from abuse and manipulation, characterized by clarity and transparency. My past experiences left my nervous system in a constant state of survival, manifesting challenges across every facet of my life. To restore balance, I immersed myself in yoga and explored various practices that attune the nervous system without resorting to extremes. My embodiment practices are a reflection of this journey—deeply personal and rooted in my lived experiences.
